Exciting Progress on Our New Monastery in Byers
An Update on Construction
The dream of our new Monastery in Byers is swiftly unfolding into reality, and we are delighted to share the latest updates. What was once an open field is now steadily transforming, thanks to the vision, dedication, and collective effort of many hands and hearts.
Work at the Byers site began several months ago, and since then, we’ve witnessed remarkable progress. The foundation—both literal and spiritual—has been laid, symbolizing the strong base upon which our future community will flourish. The main structure of the monastery is now being framed, its outlines visible against the Colorado sky. If all continues as planned, with God’s grace, we anticipate that the monastery will be completed in the coming year. Our vision extends beyond the buildings themselves—to nurture our vocation, foster spiritual growth, and provide a sanctuary for visitors seeking a place of peace and prayer.
Throughout this journey, we have relied on God’s Providence, ever grateful for the abundant help and steadfast support offered by our friends, volunteers, and benefactors. Your generosity and prayers have been a source of strength and encouragement at every step. As we move forward, we trust that, with God’s guidance and help, we will continue to find the necessary resources and funds to bring our vision to fulfillment.
We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who has played a part in this project. Please stay connected for further updates as we draw closer to completion, and join us in prayer and thanksgiving for this new chapter of our community of Capuchin Poor Clares.
